Melissa is a certified practitioner of Oriental medicine who can treat a range of health conditions.

Melissa’s qualifications include a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine, completed at Southwest Acupuncture College; Diplomat of Oriental Medicine awarded by the NCCAOM; Certification in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM; and Licensed Acupuncturist by the State of Colorado.

Providing safe, natural, and effective relief to a vast array of health conditions, Melissa works to achieve balance and a sense of well-being within her patients. Approaching her patients with kindness and compassion, she provides patients with a sense of safety, relaxation, and healing. Melissa’s treatments are relatively painless by employing a gentle Japanese acupuncture approach blended with modern Chinese techniques. Exceptional at achieving whole-body balance, Japanese-style acupuncture works to heal current health problems and is effective as preventative medicine.

Melissa’s area of expertise is in treating painful conditions, including back & neck pain, auto accident injuries, chronic pain, sports injuries, repetitive use injuries, acute pain, post-operative rehabilitation, and pain management. She is a certified specialist in Sports Medicine and has completed an apprenticeship training with Whitfield Reaves, renowned author, Acupuncturist, and leader in Sports Medicine Acupuncture.

Women’s health is an area of interest for Melissa, and she has enjoyed assisting patients with fertility, hormonal balancing, and support during pregnancy. Melissa is a well-seasoned practitioner in assisting with fertility and has consistently helped many women achieve successful pregnancies. 

Melissa is also trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, which enhances facial beauty and is a safe and natural non-surgical method of reducing the signs of aging.

Melissa has extensive experience working with oncology patients, as she formerly worked at the Healthlinks clinic, where she collaboratively provided care to patients with cancer and those who have survived it. She understands the physical and emotional stresses that cancer imposes. Her treatments alleviate the symptoms commonly experienced by oncology patients and support health and vitality to promote survivorship.
Melissa lives in Louisville with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid skier and enjoys this fun activity with her family. Melissa enjoys many other past times, including hiking, cooking, gardening, traveling, music, mindfulness activities, and reading.
