Melissa has extensive experience working with oncology patients, as she formerly worked at the Healthlinks clinic where she collaboratively provided care to patients with cancer and those who have survived it.  She understands the physical and emotional stresses that cancer imposes and her treatments not only alleviate the symptoms commonly experienced by oncology patients, but also support health and vitality to promote survivorship.

Women’s health is an area of interest for Melissa, and she has enjoyed assisting patients with fertility, hormonal balancing, and support during pregnancy. Melissa is also trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, which enhances facial beauty and is a safe and natural non-surgical method of reducing the signs of aging.

As a skilled auricular therapist (ear acupuncture), Melissa is able to directly access various centers of the brain.  Auricular therapy is very effective for calming the nervous system & reducing stress, blocking pain, and curbing addictive behaviors.

Melissa lives in Louisville with her husband and two daughters.  She is an avid skier, and enjoys this fun activity with her family.  Melissa enjoys many other past times, including hiking, cooking, gardening, traveling, music, mindfulness activities, and reading.

I went to see Melissa for neck and low back pain. She was able to relieve my acute pain in just 2 sessions. She has an amazing technique and is very gentle. I found she really listened and gave me plenty of time to fully assess my symptoms. I think she did a great job and would highly recommend her.

Despite years of suffering from terrible migraines and numerous orthopedic surgeries, I would never have considered acupuncture until a top neurologist at Johns Hopkins strongly suggested it.
